so this must be March!
My students have no idea,
but most of the art project ideas
for the work shown here
came from ART blogs or Pinterest.
Who says I waste my time
on this laptop??!!
The Lions were one of the most *funnest* projects
we did this year!
Yeah, I found the lesson online.
The Kimonos shown here were a last minute project after I found some little Popcorn Chicken boxes in our cardboard recycling bin at school...
just looked down as I was passing by
and the cafeteria had tossed in
a huge bag full of these little treasures...
God is so good to Art teachers!
Got to brag again that we made the
National Council of the Arts Report for 2011...just gotta!
Has your school had it's yearly art show yet, and how are you celebrating Youth Art Month?
Enjoy your Spring!
Vicki
What a great post. I loved looking at all these lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy grand daughter was just talking about her school last night and she loves art.
Hope your well.
Maggie
Thanks so much Maggie! I do have the best job in the world! One of the most important things an art teacher can do is instill the love of art in their students. Your granddaughter must have a great art teacher, and I am so glad she loves art! Good to hear from you! Have a wonderful week!
DeleteMy biggest regret is that I wasn't a teacher. At times, I have foster children, but I have none now. Thinking about substitute teaching. These pics make me want to more than ever!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Look at all of these creative, wonderful projects! Pinterest IS a great source of ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment and for backing me up on my Pinterest addiction, Linda. Tough job, but someone has to stay on there on a regular basis. Ha! Hope more snow doesn't sneak up on y'all! Best, Vicki
Deleteaww, I missed ours...It is at night, one year Moma was a judge, so I am glad I got to see yours. You do a wonderful job, the kiddos are lucky to have you!

Look at all that beautiful artwork! Those lions are so darn cute! Think I'll have to "borrow" that idea:) Hope you're having a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteBarb
Thanks Barbara!!! Those lions were so easy!!! We created the face by painting the shape on Styrofoam and then printed it on our tag board. Later when dry we painted the mane and drew the other details...fun, fun!! It's a keeper! I hope each day in Vermont is improving and you are all getting back to some normalcy. Borrow away on the lions, that's how I got them:-) Best, Vicki
DeleteI love the lions!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret! That was one of our favorite projects of the year, and will definitely be repeated. Hope your week is a nice one! Best, Vicki
