Windows, Toilets and Giraffes...
OH MY!
What a beautiful day
here in my little corner of Georgia.
Today we worked outside preparing the garden for future planting.
We cleaned the dead leaves
from several clematis vines,
and
cleaned the KOI pond.
I do believe the fish were glad to see us!
They eat very little during the winter
and
look like little floating statues
as they sit in the icy water.
So today after their pond was sparkling,
they had a feast of pellets and bread.
Old bread is their favorite treat.
The waterfall on our pond...it still needs a little work. |
While readying a shelf for my resale booth,
I took a rest
and
admired my stained glass window.
It hangs on the end of my porch
and
some days the sun shines
through in such a beautiful way.
I bought the window from my friend, Randy.
He goes to auctions and sales
and
has a barn full of treasures.
Just walking in the door to that barn
brings tears to my eyes.
Sometimes he calls
and
invites me to barn shop,
and
off I go.
Do you need a really good laugh?
Are we classy folks or what?
One of my garden benches...
all rusty, swirly and made of iron.
I love it!
The toilet is not usually there,
and
no, it is not now a planter in my garden.
Bill placed it there a few months ago
as he repaired it,
and
it caught my eye as a funny shot.
Just ran across it again in my pictures.
It is hilarious to me!
It always cracks me up to see a toilet sitting by the road for pick up,
and
on a bench was even funnier.
This one is back in it's original spot,
but
it sure was funny on that bench!
Well, how about some giraffes...
these will be after your heart!
Just for fun the classes that I had on Valentines Day created giraffes with heart faces.
We did a play on words and instead of...
You're After My Heart,
we said ...
Giraffe-ter My Heart.
There were some scary ones! |
Some kissy lip ones... |
And some cute ones, that were later all colored with fabulous colors. |
Wish me luck tomorrow...
I found these on craigslist
and
I am going to get them tomorrow!
Will probably take two trips...I am being a bit greedy.
They are FREE!!
My plans are to close in an old shed with some of them and
use the rest for my resale booth...
did I say they are
FREE?!
WooHOOOOOOOooooOOOOO!!!
Sorry to be all over the place with this post,
but ya know me...random and rambling.
Have the most blessed Sunday...
What wonderful Craig's List items!!! I'd make several trips for those!!

Kathy
