JUNK THAT'S BEEN HAPPENING...

OK, haven't been around for a while,
so here's a few random photos to show a bit
of the JUNK that's been happening
in my blessed life...

Loved this on Pinterest, so of course,
I had to create my version over my dining area window.

All it took was lots of random plates,
hot glue and plate holders.
Plus a lot of climbing up and down and rearranging.
I think it turned out really well.

I have not finished this yet but decided to show it anyway...
please pray for my pictures, they need a lot of help.
I found the mirror frame at the Catholic Church's yard sale.

They have the best sales and are just over the river
and
around the bend from me.
The sweet ladies there let me have it half price,
and could not imagine why I would want that old thing!

For several years it graced my lime green dresser
,
and looked lovely with a wreath hanging on it.

However, it needed a more permanent home
that would really show it off.

I think it likes the idea of being part of the headboard
for our new king size bed.

Just time I saw this heart,
I knew the mirror frame would frame it up perfectly.

But there needs to be more around the frame...
I'm thinking...I'm thinking...it will come to me...eventually.

Wish this wasn't blurred but I just love the top of the frame.

 And yeah...
WE HAD SNOW AND NO SCHOOL!!!!
Gotta love living in the south!

 That's it for my

 Later Tater!
Vicki

  1. Hi Vicki, I love the frame with the awesome quote. I have two mirrors like yours but the mirrors are still intact so no quote quite yet. How about this snow? xo, olive

    1. Yeah how about this SNOW?!!! I am loving it! It's wishful thinking to think we'll be out of school one more day, but I sure have enjoyed these last two off. I'm sure y'all had more snow than us but I am really enjoying what we did get.
I'm thinking about adding two more small mirror frames to each side of the heart one, but I'm knocking it around a bit. Lucky you to have two with mirrors intact! Enjoy our Southern Winter Wonderland! Best, Vicki

  2. Love your new "frame". Great idea to stick the quote in there. BTW, I have been saving plates forever to do that also! Difference is that mine are still sitting here on the floor. Love your dog photo. They look so excited about the snow!

  3. Two of the dogs are excited...one not so much. Get to work on those plates...it really doesn't take that long to do. Mine sat on my table for while and I would spread them out and shift them around. I bought those plate hanging disc from Hobby Lobby and they are wonderful things! Guess you guys still have snow up to your eyeballs...I go back to work tomorrow at 11. Its been a mess here in the surprised south.

  4. Hi Vicki, and thanks for coming to the Thrifty Life Thursday gathering! Your mirror frame is wonderful! I would've snagged it as well. Clever, using it as a headboard. And your doggies are adorable! Great photo of them. :) Sounds like we like lots of the same things...

  5. Vicki,
Love those plates! Very cool indeed.
Since I am still in Oz. No ice/sleet/snow for me. However my house was iced in!

    1. You are sooo right! I got a ton of old plates, so they may as well just hang around! It's kinda like the left shoe though...I'm waiting for one to drop one day. Its a fun look for now.
