I could spend my days looking at everyone's decorating ideas...shhhh, some days I do spend way too much time doing just that. That's OK however, summer is here, school is out, and I am off from work...well, that's my justification for it, and I'm sticking to it! A girl has to have some relaxation!
However, I do have summer projects, lots of them! One project was that I wanted something wonderful and different over our bed...we just had the bedroom painted and that was one blank wall! The wreath that was there was beginning to look like it needed an extreme makeover...it had been there way past it's time.
So, I just had to go to the laptop for inspiration...right?
Actually, I was just cruising blogs not really thinking about that wall when I saw a version of what I have finally created. Can't remember which blog, and really it might have been a feature on Houzz (are you familiar with Houzz? if not better Search it fast...it's wonderful!)
I do remember one was a grouping of Hs. I saw several versions...some all the same letter, some different letters, some all lowercase, some all upper and some mixed. Some were all the same color and some eclectic and crazy. I decided to go one color, because I have a tendency to get carried away and clutter things up, or jazz things up too much. (nice way of saying I junk it up too much). One color keeps it uniform, so I went with black...I've used lots of black in my house. Here's some very poor photos of what I am working on...it may be finished. Sometimes we think it needs a few more pieces, and there are several I need to touch up. There are a few As that think A stands for an adventurous spirit...can't keep those As straight, but I will tame them later.
If I ever locate one, I will included a picture from my BEFORE bedroom...in that bedroom I hand painted a poem around the top of the room...took me one entire summer to do it, but now it is history...change is good, right? So, do we add more As or leave it as it is? Hmmmm...I might need to search through more blogs...
